FAQ

Is there a Walk From Home option? Yes! If you can’t join us in person in Palmas Del Mar, you can still participate by choosing the Walk From Home option. You’re welcome to walk in your own neighborhood, at a local park, beach, or any location that’s meaningful to you. We encourage you to gather a group of friends, family, or your church community to walk with you! It’s a great way to raise awareness, build unity, and celebrate the gift of life, wherever you are. Don't forget to tag your photos with #WalkForLifePR and @lovethenationspr so we can celebrate with you!

Is this a Protest? Nope! This Walk is not meant to be a political statement or controversial event. We are walking to celebrate LIFE and support families in Puerto Rico.

How do I fundraise online? Registering to Walk will create a personal fundraising page. Then share it on your social networking pages and email – just use the links on your fundraising page!

What should my fundraising goal be? It’ll be easier to reach than you might think! Download:

How will my sponsor donations be used? All funds raised through Walk for Life Puerto Rico directly support the life-affirming work of Love the Nations, helping moms, dads, and babies across Puerto Rico. Direct your sponsors to www.pregnancyPR.com to learn more, or use the information provided on your pledge sheet. Be sure to let your sponsors know that their donation is tax-deductible.

How much does it cost to participate in the Walk? There is no cost/fee for the Walk portion of the event. However since Love The Nations is entirely donor supported and accepts no government funding to support our mission, we encourage people to participate by raising funds or sponsoring themselves.

Can I bring my dog to the Walk for Life? This event is welcome to dogs. We ask that you abide by public regulations (dogs on leash, picking up after them). Due to the size of the event, we also ask that you use your discretion and bring only friendly dogs that behave well around large groups of people.

How do I get a cool Walk t-shirt? Everyone who raises at least $150 will earn this year’s shirt! All volunteers and Ambassadors will also receive this year’s shirt as a thank you. If at all possible, we ask those that are have earned a shirt or those who are volunteering to just take one t-shirt.

How do I turn in my fundraising? When you arrive at Shell Castle Beach, please check in at the designated Check-In Area so we can collect your pledge sheets and award any prizes you’ve earned! We’ll have a printout of all online funds raised as of noon on Friday, so there’s no need to print your fundraising page. We recommend arriving early to allow plenty of time to check in before your scheduled Walk time. Please remember to bring any cash or checks you’ve collected with you.
